The Event was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the food with us! It has been a very fun and interesting year for our club and we cannot wait to host another event like this in the future!

와주신 여러분 덕분에 이벤트는 아주 성공적으로 끝났습니다! 주최한 저희 측에서도 재미있고 보람찬 이벤트였고, 다음 번에 주최할 요리 이벤트가 기다려지게 만드는 시간이였습니다.

Hi to all Korea Club members,

The weather is so cold these days and we hope you will have some fun with us!!

On 23rd Feburary, we will all play games together and after we will all walk to Karaoke together. It is okay to attend only one part of the event (ex go to social but not the karaoke, or join for karaoke and not the social.)

The cost of the social is FREE, but karaoke is $5 for everyone. Korea Club will be securing a room at the venue, but please let us know in advance if you will be coming to karaoke. This event is open to EVERYONE, you do not have to be a UofT student to attend.

We would like to thank everyone who came out! We had a lot of fun playing Korea-themed games, and everyone was amazing at the K-pop Dance Charades and Guess that Kpop Song! Congratulations to the winners of the Balloon Popping couple contest, and lets go to karaoke together again!

Always see the beautiful Hanboks in Kdramas?! Don’t know where to try them on?!

This is the event you are looking for!! Complete with a mock wedding ceremony, you can come and try on your favourite Hanbok and get your pictures taken! This event is free of charge & everyone is invited. Hope to see you all there!!

We had the pleasure of helping to plan a traditional Korean wedding ceremony, also known as the Paebaek, 폐백, ceremony!! The actual ceremony was simulated, so it was not real, but we wanted to show everyone who attended something that was important in Korean culture! Also, the audience who attended received the chance to try on Hanboks once the ceremony was over! Thank you to the models, and volunteers who helped us with the event! Also, thanks to the audience who attended and were extremely supportive!
Finally, a huge thanks to Seshil Hanbok for providing the Hanboks and also the ceremony items! It really helped make our event a success! Last but not least…. Thank you to Chiao Sun who was the amazing Photographer and was constantly making people smile in his photos!

이 이벤트 에서는 한국 전통 결혼식의 한 부분인 폐백을 보여드렸는데요. 비록 실제 폐백은 아니였지만 한국 전통 문화의 중요한 부분을 간접 체험해 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회였습니다. 또한 폐백을 보러 오신 분들께서는 폐백이 끝난 후 직접 한복도 입어보실 수 있는 시간이 있었습니다. 한복 모델을 자처해 주신 참여자 분들과, 이 이벤트를 위해 봉사해주신 분들, 그리고 특히 한복과 폐백에 필요한 소품들을 마련해 주신 세실 한복에 감사 드립니다. 마지막으로 이번 이벤트에서 사진사로 활약했던 챠오 선 에게도 감사를 돌립니다. 챠오 덕분에 많은 분들이 웃는 사진, 즐거워 하시는 사진이 나올 수 있었습니다. 폐백에 대해 더 알고 싶으시다면 아래 웹사이트에 더 많은 정보가 있구요, http://notjustrice.com/paebaek-korean-wedding-bowing-ceremony/
